Reconnect, Get Active, Explore!
Holidays at last! Sun is shining, weather is sweet, make you want to move your pedaling feet! Grab your best friends for an active getaway in a picturesque area of natural beauty: the Perche. Travelling in small groups, around a passion for the outdoors and with like-minded friends and family is truly special! On the agenda: cycling, sampling local food, enjoying a few drinks and relaxing in the hot tub! Sounds inspiring, right?
A lodge for perfect group getaways in the Perche
Here it comes. This long-awaited holiday in France. To feel truly at home-away-from home, stay at the lodge of the Auberge Grand' Maison in Meaucé. Once you arrive, start off with a gentle connection to the French culture: take the very French ritual of l’apéro! Short for l’apéritif, l’apéro is a quintessentially French activity that’s all about relaxing with friends and taking a moment to pause and appreciate life. If you need some culinary treats to excite your taste buds, you’ll be spoilt for choice at the grocery store of Grand’Maison: artisan cider from the Perche, local nibbles and light snacks. Raise your glass. Santé! Action packed days outdoors will glide into relaxed evenings in the private jacuzzi where you can ease tired muscles, unwind and share stories from the day.
Exploring the Perche by bike
Getting out on the bikes with a group of friends is a great way to catch up, get some exercise – and maybe provide an excuse to stop for a drink - or a bite to eat! Good news is you don’t have to be a Lycra lover to get the most out of whizzing around Eure et Loir on two wheels. In the morning, saddle up to explore miles of undulating hills in the Perche. Ride towards Thiron-Gardais, then south until you reach Argenvilliers. On arrival, reward yourself with delicious food at the Perch' Oir for a taste of traditional regional percheronne cuisine. Once you’ve refueled, it’s time to get back on the bikes in search of new horizons and exceptional heritage to discover along the way: the Château des Comtes du Perche in Nogent-le-Rotrou and the Château de la Rivière in Pontgouin await!
