Cycling

The Tourist Office offers bicycles and electrically assisted bicycles for hire. You will be able to discover the 4 to 18 km bike loops around Châteaudun, along the Loir and Conie valleys.

Located at Chartres train station, the Maison du Vélo meets the needs of users travelling within the city for work and tourists who wish to discover the city of Chartres and the green layout of the town by bike.

A ride in the countryside along the "cycle rails" (vélorails), on the Paris-Chartres line via Gallardon: 6.2km one way to be enjoyed with friends or family (4 people by vélorails, 5 if 3 children under 8, at least 2 cyclists).

At the Pavillon Saint-Dominique, the Tourist Office offers adult road bikes for rental. Documentation on the bike paths around La Ferté-Vidame and the Perche is available at reception.

Mountain bikes for adults and children are available for rent, and a baby seat so you can discover the State forest of Senoches. A map of the forest is available from the Tourist Office.

Available: 5 electric bikes, 4 men’s hybrid bikes, 4 unisex hybrid bikes and 4 children’s hybrid bikes of various sizes. RESERVATION PREFERRED minimum 24 hrs in advance.
