The famous family house of Aunty Léonie, with period furnishings intact, where the young Marcel Proust would spend his holidays. Full of the provincial charm which he would later draw on in his works.

The fortified complex was built in the 12th century by Hugh II of Châteauneuf, lord of Thymerais, as an outpost of the Capetian royal estate to defend against the Duchy of Normandy.

Very old, dating from the year 1000, the church was extended with a nave built in 1400. The bell tower was also built at this time. Many remarkable statues are kept there.

A 15th century wooden windmill mounted on a stone base, in perfect working order.
